Humanities –1.0 Credit
Course Description:Students demonstrate knowledge of how culture is expressed through visual and performing arts; analyze how historical events shape the development of culture; understand why certain literary works are considered classics; how ideas and beliefs, decisions, and chance events have been used in the process of writing and interpreting history; understand some of the implications of intentions and purposes in particular works of art; synthesize information from multiple sources to draw conclusions, and identify personal artists they feel have contributed to the broad field of humanities.
