Introduction to Art History -1.0 Credit
Course Description:Students develop an appreciation of art through the sequential study of art history and theory. Students use skills of visual analysis to critique masterworks using the elements of art and principles of design. This includes art vocabulary and visual language; major artists, architects, and masterworks; elements of art and principles of design; critical thinking and visual analysis; role, impact, and reciprocal relationships of art in history, culture, and society; Information resources and strategies; personal and social benefits; community resources; career opportunities.
